I think the biggest value that Farmville Secrets had to offer were the cheat sheets. Let me tell you a little about myself:
I am not a gamer by any stretch of the imagination. I am a working mom, with not much time on my hands. Farmville became an oasis where I could leave the chaos of my life behind and where I was queen of my domain or my farm. This is why so many are addicted to this game.
How did I get started with Farmville?
It wasn’t long ago that I discovered the existence of Farmville. In fact it was probably about 4 months ago. I was participating in a conversation with my friends on Facebook when one of my good friends asked me to be her neighbor on Farmville. I, of course, had no idea what she was talking about. She told me that she was building a virtual farm and that she wanted to expand and the only way to do it was to build a community by adding neighbors. Was I interested? Anything to help out a friend – I thought. So I agreed. My friend signed me up and gave me a tour of her farm. Now she was at level 20 and her farm was pretty spiffy. She had built a nice barn yard; she had plenty of animals and trees on her property. It looked intriguing. Little did I know how difficult it was going to be to achieve all of this.
I said to her it looks like fun, to which she replied, oh once you get to become wealthy on this game, it is fun. You should try it – if you do, I will give you a horse. No one has ever offered me a horse before; I decided to give it a go. I asked for some instructions on how to get started and I was off harvesting.
I picked all the crops available to me and planted them randomly. It wasn’t long before I discovered there was more to this game. Most of my crops rotted away and all my money was gone. That is when my horse wandered off. What?? A horse can just wander off??
Now I was pretty mad. I decided to give up on this stupid game, well for a couple of days anyway. What I wasn’t doing and what no one told me was how to apply a strategy. I was random in my planting and when I got some coins, I spent it right away and when my crops wilted, I went broke.
